Pakistani dramas are a popular genre of television programming in Pakistan. Humsafar (1983): This series was one of the first to introduce the concept of serialized television in Pakistan. It was based on an Urdu novel by Farhat Ishtiaq titled “Baharay Nahin” (The Wind Does Not Blow). The story revolves around an upper-class married couple who try to hide their true feelings for each other from their families and society at large. It was written by Niaz Ahmed Siddiqui who also wrote Babar aur Badshah (King Babar And His Court), which was adapted into an award-winning film in 1983.
Humse Hain Quaid-e-Azam (1952): This film is considered one best ever produced by Pakistan Film Corporation (PFC)
